Automated Setup

The easiest way to set your computer up is to save our setup program to a disk and run it on your computer. You can download the setup program from http://www.rraz.net/rraz.exe
To set up your Internet connection and use our free banner-ad blocking service, use the AdZap setup available at http://www.rraz.net/rraz-adzap.exe

If you are unable to use the setup program, you can follow the instructions below to set the connection up manually.

Manual Setup

WINDOWS 95, 98, 2000, ME, and XP
  1. Click START. (Lower left corner, Windows task bar.)
  2. Select RUN
  3. Type “INETWIZ” (without the quotation marks) - Click OK
  4. If you see the Internet Connection Wizard dialog box: Go to step 4a)
    If you see the Set Up Your Internet Connection screen: Go to step 5).
    If you see the Internet Setup Wizard dialog box: Go to step 21)
    1. Click NEXT.
    2. Setup Options screen: Select – I want to set up a new connection on this computer to my existing Internet account using my phone line or local area network (LAN); click NEXT.
  5. Set Up Your Internet Connection screen: select Connect using my phone line – click NEXT.
  6. Select Create a new dial-up connection - click NEXT.
  7. Phone Number screen:
    1. Type “928” in the Area Code box (without the quotation marks)
    2. Type <modem phone number> for the nearest city. The correct number for your locale can be found on our web site under Access Numbers.
    3. Click NEXT.
  8. Username and Password screen:
    1. Type your <username> in the User Name box.
    2. Type your <password> in the Password box. Click NEXT.
  9. If you see the Configuring your Computer screen, go to step 9a)
  10. If you see the Advanced Settings screen, go to step 10)
    1. Type “Red River Internet” (without the quotation marks)
    2. Click NEXT and go to step 11.
  11. Advanced Settings screen: Select NO - Click NEXT
  12. Setup Your Internet Mail Account screen: Select YES - click NEXT.
  13. Internet Mail Account screen: Select Create New Internet Mail Account - click NEXT.
  14. Your Name screen: In the Display Name box, type your <name>, as you would like it to appear on outgoing e-mail messages – click NEXT.
  15. Internet E-mail Address screen: Type in your <e-mail address> – click NEXT.
  16. E-mail Server Names screen:
    1. From the drop-down list My incoming mail service is. select POP3
    2. Type “mail.rraz.net” (without the quotation marks) for Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server.
    3. Type “mail.rraz.net” (without the quotation marks) for Outgoing mail (SMTP) server – click NEXT.
  17. Internet Mail Logon screen:
    1. Select Remember password
    2. Type your <username> in the Account name box.
    3. Type your <password> in the Password box – click NEXT.
  18. If you see the Friendly Name screen: go to step 17a)
    If you see Complete Configuration, go to step 20)
    1. In the Internet mail account name box, type “mail.rraz.net” (without the quotation marks) to save the account settings.
    2. Click NEXT.
  19. Set Up Your Internet News Account screen: select NO and click NEXT.
  20. Set Up Your Internet Directory Account screen: select NO and click NEXT.
  21. Complete Configuration screen: Go to step 31)
  22. Click NEXT.
  23. Select Connect using my phone line – click NEXT.
  24. Select I already have an account with a different service provider – click NEXT.
    (At this point your computer may require the Windows disk to continue.)
  25. Service Provider Information screen:
    1. Type “Red River Internet” (without the quotation marks)
    2. Click NEXT.
  26. Phone Number screen:
    1. Type “928” in the Area Code box (without the quotation marks)
    2. Type <modem phone number> for the nearest city. The correct number for your locale can be found on our web site under Access Numbers.
    3. Click NEXT.
  27. User Name and Password screen:
    1. Type your <username> in the User Name box.
    2. Type your <password> in the Password box.
    3. Click NEXT
  28. IP Address screen:
    1. Select My Internet service provider automatically assigns me one
    2. Click NEXT.
  29. DNS Server Address screen:
    1. Type “0.0.0.0” (without the quotation marks) in both the DNS Server and Alternate DNS server fields
    2. Click NEXT.
  30. Internet Mail screen:
    1. Select Use Internet Mail
    2. In Your E-mail address box, type your <email address >
  31. In the Internet Mail Server box: type “mail.rraz.net” (without the quotation marks) then click NEXT.
  32. Click FINISH
You're finished! Now you can get on the Internet!
